Local Dream includes built-in 4× upscalers.

Availability

Upscalers are currently available only in NPU mode.

Where To Use Them

You can use an upscaler in two places:

on the generation result page
on the app's standalone Upscaler page from the home screen

Built-In Models

Built-in 4× upscalers:

realesrgan_x4plus_anime_6b — anime-tuned
4x-UltraSharpV2_Lite — general purpose

You can also import custom upscaler models from the app.

Recommended Use

For SD1.5 NPU high-resolution workflows, an upscaler can be useful between the base 512×512 pass and the later img2img refinement pass. See SD1.5 NPU High Resolution.

Saved Image Format

Images larger than 1024×1024 pixels are saved as JPEG, while images at or below that size are saved as PNG. In practice, this mainly affects images produced by workflows such as upscaling or large inpaint results.
